The Florida legislature recently allowed DHSMV to made children ID cards. The advantages are:

Legitimate identification for the child

Puts child’s personal information on D.A.V.I.D. so law enforcement officers throughout Florida have instant access to it. It also include a photograph of the child.

In an emergency situation it will save valuable time

Child’s Social Security number can also be put on the ID card

Also emergency contact information (parent’s information) can be added to the ID card

ID Cards cost three dollars and are done at any Division of Motor Vehicles Driver’s License Office
